The History Group Logo

The History Group logo is in the form of a shield quartered and is a representation of four coats of arms belonging to families once influential in the parish, these being:

Pynsent
Inglett
Eastchurch
Wychalse

Upcoming events

We have arranged the group historical tour visit to Powderham Castle for 1.30pm on Sunday 26th July. Numbers are limited so members and guests only. Details as per email to members.

In August or September we will have a group tour of Stover Country Park and the Granite Lodge gatehouse, as a follow-up to the mid-April talk on this subject. Details to be advised.

The next Friday meeting will be on 4th September with a presentation on Growing up in Chudleigh in the 1950s and 1960s by Humphrey Walters.
